Kokopelli’s Shadow

Kokopelli is a legend according to several of the American Indian tribes.  He was considered to be of Aztec descent and a traveling trader and peddler of useful goods. He is always pictured with a crooked back and a flute.  He was considered to be a great flute player and ladies man.

The title of this piece came form my grandson Simon.  When I wore my shirt that depicted Kokopelli he always told me that he was a shadow.  Perhaps his shadow does follow us watching and waiting.  It is orchestral and written in the e minor pentatonic mode.
