This is an electronic piece only and cannot be performed by humans under the current instrumentation. It is almost all quarter tones and uses many instruments that cannot generally ply them. It could be performed were I to change the instrumentation. This work is highly esoteric and morbid in nature. I am surprised that Vincent Price missed out on this little delight before he passed away.
The screw worm is the maggot of the screw worm fly. Unlike most maggots that eat only dead flesh the screw worm likes to eat living flesh. The screw worm fly feasts mostly on animals by laying the eggs in the eyes or in a wound.
